Sophia
Practical English Education and Communication Circle (SPEECC) is a
Sophia University alumni group. We are always happy to work with anyone
committed to providing useful information
about English for communicative purposes. Our main focus is on finding creative and enjoyable ways to approach English grammar, particularly for more advanced speakers. In addition to this website we maintain a Facebook page and a Twitter account (both in Japanese), and we also hold a live "English Café" event in Tokyo from time to time. With this website we are aiming to reach out beyond Japan and make a contribution that will be of practical use to learners of English all around the world. The project is still very much in its infancy, and we are always on the lookout for new members and people who have something to contribute, both to this site and to our activities in general.
